Alexa Hernandez is a recent Film, Media, & Communications graduate with a Music Industry minor at Mount Saint Mary's University. Alexa has accrued four years of work experience. Her experiences have focused on Music Publishing, Public Relations, and Media Cultural Practices.Alexa performed these skills at the Center of Intersectional Media + Entertainment (CIME) in partnership with Amazon Prime Video, conducting a four-month content analysis for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the entertainment industry and media. Alexa further garnered her music industry experience in their A&R internship at Pulse Music Group, collaborating closely with A&R executives to identify emerging musical talent and potential signings, demonstrating a keen ear for diverse genres and staying alongside industry trends.Alexa worked as the social media coordinator for Mount Saint Mary's University's Wellness at her university, planning and designing daily content correlating with specific projects and events promoting wellness initiatives with the university department. Currently, Alexa is working as a contributor for the Los Angeles Times's new Latine segment "De Los," producing engaging and timely videos about all current events curated by the Latine community of Los Angeles and collaborating to conceptualize and execute story coverage aligning with the publication's brand identity and editorial standards. Alexa has been consistently praised as detail-oriented by my professors and peers in my academic and professional life.
