The Trail Conservancy is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing natural trails and surrounding ecosystems. As an Ecological Restoration Intern, I have the opportunity to play a key role in supporting our ecological restoration projects and initiatives. Hands-on experience in environmental conservation, habitat restoration, and ecological research. I work closely with the restoration team to implement and monitor various restoration activities, and I’ll contribute to the overall health and sustainability of our trail systems.- Assisted in planning and implementing ecological restoration projects to enhance native habitats and improve trail sustainability.- Collaborated with team members and volunteers to restore natural landscapes through invasive species management and native plant installation.- Collaborated with the Give Pulse program to track and report volunteer hours, enhancing community engagement and promoting local service opportunities.- Utilized GIS tools for mapping and monitoring restoration sites, contributing to project reporting and planning

MathHappens Foundation is a local non-profit located in Austin, Texas. With its mission to reach to communites and provide educational math through puzzles, games and more in non-educational spaces! I've had the opportunity to connect with multiple families and teach kids that math can be fun! Had the chance to learn new softwares like corel draw. As well as, learn about lazer cutters and had the opportunity to make my own puzzle that is now being used in our spaces. Breakthrough Central Texas provides rising 6th graders through 12 grade opportunities to create a path to get to college who will be first generation college students. Being a student myself and getting a opportunity to become the teacher in classroom was a great learning experience. I taught science to rising 6th graders and advised them on help in and outside of school.- Instructed a class of rising 6th graders in science, delivering engaging lessons.- Advised a small group of students on post-secondary education and academic pathways.- Conducted weekly calls and monthly meetings with parents to discuss student progress and concerns.- Facilitated daily meetings with the entire staff and fellow educators to coordinate instructional strategies.- Built professional relationships and networked with teaching fellows.
