Diligence and analysis included: attending meetings with management; creating historical and projected income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements; creating valuation analyses using comparable company and discounted cash flow methodologies; consolidating all work into a formal stock recommendation. Separately, created a spreadsheet analysis from publicly available documents for a public REIT that resulted in the firm successfully adding to its position in the stock before positive earnings report. Assisted the portfolio strategies and risk management teams by recording trades in Excel, inputting company updates and earnings notes into the Internal Research Network, composing and reviewing monthly and quarterly commentaries, and running the weekly risk analysis packet to send to the Investment Team.
