I specialise in the… Show more I am currently a senior consultant with AECOM and have a background in architectural technology, building surveying, conservation and social housing. With over thirty years expierience in the construction industry I bring a good depth of knowledge and high level of practical expierience to the projects that I am involved with. For the past ten years I have been providing Technical Advisor services to a wide range of Funders on a range of PPP, PFI and NPD projects. I specialise in the assessment of construction, design and site related risks and, to date, have been instrumental in bringing upwards of fifty projects safely to financial close. I also provide construction phase monitoring services for Funders and enjoy being fully engaged as part of the project team. At the moment I am providing operational phase monitoring services on 23 PFI projects throughout Scotland and the North of England. I take pride in my ability to produce succinct, accurate reports, within target timescales. My aim has always been to add value to every project I am involved with and I believe that I do this through a pragmatic approach to and an ability to write technical reports that non-technical people can understand easily. Employed as Leading Architectural technician for the Palace of Holyroodhouse and Edinburgh Castle. My role was to carry out detailed surveys of historic buildings and produce construction specifications and drawings in relation to preservation and conservation works. I also produced design information for new visitor facilities at various historic buildings and monuments and supervised the works on site.
