Hello! I'm Alexander! You can catch me awake early at the library crunching numbers, taking a call about the stock market, or thinking about my next trade. I think in terms of charts and derivatives. I have managed my own trading account for almost 3 years now. My first trade was on oil back in April of 2016 (specifically, OIL at 5.73). I was working as a server at the time. I bought about 250 shares. In my 6 hour shift, I saw the value of the shares increase to 6+, and realized I had made more than I had in my time at work. I became hooked on trading stocks. The idea of working for money, instead of making it work for me, became senseless. In my time trading on my own, I learned to roll with the punches. As the great Warren Buffett once said, "Be fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy when others are fearful." In a similar line to this, I try to find companies that have been oversold or overbought, and run something I call 'contrary analysis.' Before making any further decisions, when I first see a stock, I ask myself one question: How much worse/better can it get? I am currently working on developing a scanner for use in targeting low float, high short stocks at the moment that volume floods in. Other than the stock market, I am always excited to talk about quantum mechanics, and the P=NP complete? question. Don't get me started on how I think Nash equilibrium in a 2 person choice game and Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle are two sides of the same coin.
