    As an intern at KBR, I worked with the Project 20Ktm Team, a project seeking to produce a system that can economically recover oil from reservoirs at 20 ksi and 350 degrees F. My responsibilities included managing project data through Cradle, a program tailored for requirements management. Using Cradle, I built an environment for project data, called a schema, in order to best facilitate organization of project data. I also worked alongside the HIPPS (High Integrity Pressure Protection System) team. Through my work with Cradle I gained valuable insight into the Systems Engineering process as well as experience working as a part of a project team. My work with HIPPSincluded accruing knowledge of the system and subsequently authoring the System Requirements for the HIPPS Subsystem.In the summer of 2014, I returned to KBR to continue working with the Project 20K™ team. I resumed my responsibilities managing data within Cradle. I also worked with the interface team, taking interfaces deemed as priority by the client (BP) and gathering information to produce Interface Control Documents (ICDs). ICDs contain the interface definition, as well as interface requirements, helping facilitate communication between project teams and close gaps between interfacing systems. My final major responsibility was to model the lifecycle of a 20K™project. Initially, I used yEd to create a flow diagram of an entire project lifecycle, in order to identify concurrent processes and help reveal potentially conflicting processes. I also developed a higher fidelity model using MatLabs’ Simulink and Stateflow software, modeling the operation of a Subsea Production Systems. This model was designed to simulate system dynamics and failure modes, spanning the entire lifecycle of a subsea field.

    During my junior year, I worked under Professor Eric Bickel and Christopher Hadlock, a PHD student, in the UT operations research department. Commissioned by BP, the project objective was to create a stochastic model to provide reliability data for Project 20K™, in order to inform key project decisions. My responsibilities included familiarizing myself with industry standard reliability practices, collecting data to inform the model, and performing calculations to ensure parallelism between model inputs and industry data.
