Started my professional journey at the University of Missouri - Columbia back in 2014, while studying Business Administration. In college, worked at Midway USA as a Logistics Specialist in a part-time role. Was an intern at Data Connectors for the latter half of 2018, where I constructed their International Expansion Project and performed a costs / analysis report of doing business outside of US territory. Weeks after this experience, I graduated from the previously mentioned university with a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in finance.A few months prior to my college graduation, I came to a realization my true passion was centered around technology & applied to LaunchCode's LC101 program, where I was later accepted. Their program placed the foundational building blocks for me as a developer & learned things such as HTML, CSS, Java (SpringBoot framework), Python, MySQL & much more. While learning the ropes from LaunchCode, I agreed to a six-month contract to work as a Contract Coordinator at Centene, where I processed credential documents, evaluated agreements, & worked with negotiators on ensuring all permits were up to date. In September, both my LaunchCode and Centene experiences came to an end simultaneously. Concluding that chapter of my life, I went on to work part-time at a small marketing firm doing WordPress. A few months later, I decided to leave the company to pursue a full-time opportunity at Centene where I was introduced as a Business Analyst. In my year experience at Centene, I worked with tools such as Excel, UiPath Robot & Alteryx but found I was limited in my specific role as far as working with new & exciting technologies so we decided to part ways. Shortly after, I accepted a full-time position as a Software Developer at Nextra Health where I worked with JavaScript, PHP & SQL mainly, while sometimes dabbling in Visual FoxPro. Also, we rebuilt a system used by a handful of the departments in order to improve efficiency, speed, corrupt data & the overall user experience. Currently, I am a recent hire at Mastercard where I will be working with Java Spring Boot. Although still early, I am super excited and grateful for the opportunity where I will continue to grow and develop my skills. Outside of work I enjoy the outdoors, exercising, books, podcasts, video games, sports & exploring new technologies through personal projects. In my latest, I am constructing my own sports analytics site with easy-to-read visualizations & quantifiable numbers. Building this out is a goal of mine in 2022!
