I have recently graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with distinction, having studied MSc Computer and Network Engineering.From a young age I've had a strong passion for Engineering, having been raised by an Electrical Engineer; by studying at Sheffield Hallam University, it has enabled me to pursue this passion. I have acquired key technical skills, including C programming, VHDL, AutoCAD, OrCAD, JAVA, LabVIEW, PLCs and Matlab. For my MSc dissertation, I created a functional Digital Storage Oscilloscope using the embedded STM F7 microcontroller, through the use of STM32CubeMX, Keil uVision IDE and development of C firmware.During my placement year, I worked as a System Design Engineer, supporting the UK team at various stages of the design & construction of large free-field PV projects. During this time, I oversaw the complete design lifecycle of over 8.5MWp installed capacity. My tasks included site surveys and solar project feasibility studies, PV plant sizing according with best performance and economical aspects using internal / external tools (i.e. shadow analysis tools, system configuration tool, wire sizing tool), preliminary and detailed design and drawing of mechanical, civil and electrical designs using AutoCAD, electrical system design including, but not limited to single line diagrams (SLD), AC/DC wiring calculations and assisting in LV/HV electrical system design of the projects.My key skills include leadership and team working, which enable me to lead other members of the group and to be prepared to step back and listen to other’s ideas. I have gained invaluable communications and customer facing skills by interacting with the general public on a frequent basis, enabling me to convey information accurately and efficiently. I am also fast at mastering new techniques and methods which helps meet the changing needs of the business or the uptake of a new role within the company.
