(So I'm probably not interested in your hedge fund/quant/algorithmic trading company, sorry.)I've primarily worked server-side, spending five years becoming Tech lead of a team of engineers responsible for building and managing scalable microservices for processing and serving personal data for hundreds of thousands of QPS. As client-focused problem solvers, we worked closely with dozens of other teams to build relationships, understand their infrastructure needs, and delivering the modules they needed to fulfill those needs in a scalable, maintainable way. Our work enabled dozens of new feature launches and quality improvements in the Assistant.Recently, I was interested in expanding my skill set, so I moved on to a new role, starting over in a completely different code base, Android. I've enjoyed getting to learn about it's unique challenges and constraints. I'm still primarily focused on "backend" code, but now on-device and with close interaction with frontend/UI.
