I am a biochemist with several years of experience expressing and purifying recombinant proteins and their functional and structural characterisation. My main research focus has been mRNA processing and, in particular, how RNA-binding proteins regulate alternative splicing events and adenosine-to-inosine (A-to-I) editing of mRNA. I want to improve people's lives by developing, making, and characterising therapeutic biomolecules. Having worked in several international laboratories and for Bio-Rad AbD Serotec, I have learned to promote ambitious research projects through collaboration, teamwork, open communication, and resilience. With my experience characterising antibodies and skill set, I aim to bring proteins and RNAs to life that prevent and treat human disease.
