I am an aspiring finance student at the University of Central Florida with years of experience in the Financial Industry. My college journey so far has not been a straight path, which may have been the case for many. Throughout the ups and downs of my college experience I can say it has molded me into a determined, hardworking, and eager individual.My first couple years in college I was an Architect major with high hopes of working for an architectural firm. After some experience with the firm my plan was to then pivot off into my own business. Suddenly I had to make a sudden change in my career path when financial difficulties arose. Considering this situation, I thought it would interest me and benefit me most to take the Finance route for my career path. Not only will this knowledge help me personally, it will also help me provide financial advice to other individuals and organizations.The experience that I have gained thus far has been very beneficial to my career path. I have had the opportunity to work with different areas in Finance, Accounting, and Operation Management. While working as a financial assistant for Bento Group Management I have experienced the ins and outs of creating cost of goods sold reports for upper-level management, have a better understanding of data analysis, have updated financial spreadsheets with daily transactions, have handled monthly accruals, have managed store managers spending, and overall have provided information to better reach company goals for all 26 locations. Efficiency and free from error are goals I aim for while completing tasks!
