The main objective was to create insights from the retention process, e.g. why does customer x not return to the company. Usually, customer retention is a binary classification problem. However, in this work, a multiclass classification approach was presented to incorporate knowledge of the customer’s profitability in the model. Another contribution includes the interpretable machine learning results with Shapely additive explanation (SHAP).

Together they represent the classical Natural Language Process (NLP). The web interface is based on JavaScript and HTML, whereas the delivery is platform-independent using Docker.The forecasting tool for the semiconductor industry was programmed in R using ARIMA. The focus was on the data-driven determination of demand and statistical analysis of time series.The prediction of the surgery durations is based on a Python script, which is made platform-independent by a web application and docker. Through intelligent feature engineering and ridge regression, the average absolute error of the doctors could be halved. Show less
