Hornby Hobbies is a market leading British manufacturer of toys, models and hobbies. Scalextric, Hornby, Airfix & Corgi.Key Accountabilities:■ Working in a collaborative studio environment alongside eight other designers■ Being able to prioritise and switch between brands■ Creating packaging, advertorials, TV advertising concepts, POS materials, signage, editorial layouts and presentations■ Follow and designing within the retailer style guides, including but not limited to Argos, Harrods and Toys R Us■ Working with licensors such as, Warner Brothers, 007, Harry Potter, Hot Wheels and Thunderbirds■ Meeting tight deadlines whilst managing multiple projects■ Organisation, attention to detail, and adaptability Biggest Achievements:Pitching the idea for a Christmas-themed Hornby train set, designed specifically to sit under the Christmas tree. The idea was quickly approved and became the first piece of product packaging and livery that I designed. Ten years later, the product is Hornby's fastest-selling train set throughout December, year on year.
