I am currently working as a Hardware Engineer (Power/Signal Integrity Engineer) under the Azure team at Microsoft in Beaverton, OR. My focuses are mainly on AI hardware design, simulation, and correlation of PDN and high speed interfaces (PCIe and DDR). I recently graduated with a PhD degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Washington in June of 2019. I received my Masters degree in the department of Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Washington in 2016. During my time at university, I was researching in the Sensing Computing and Communication group at the UW under Professor Matthew Reynolds. My research focused on RF analog circuit design, ultra-low power applications, and energy harvesting for RFID.

High Speed Signal Integrity Engineer ContractorIntel Corporation May 2019 - Jan 2020Santa Clara, California, UsWorking on high speed server hardware measuring signal integrity of PCIE buses and DDR channels. Verification of DDR signals to correspond with simulation results.• Characterized next gen high speed PCIE signals using advanced coding schemes • Measured channel loss on PCB board using advanced techniques with pico-probes • Post process data through Matlab to improve design and testing methodologies -
Graduate Research AssistantUniversity Of Washington Jun 2015 - Jun 2019Seattle, Wa, UsMy research focuses on architectural innovations for ultra-low power applications for wirelessly powered sensing and computing. With the use of ultra-low backscatter, long range communication is possible. This includes efficient rectifier, antenna, frequency synthesizer, and amplifier design. - Responsible for all aspects of long range wireless RF identification projects which includes literature study, circuit simulation, production, testing, and final report - Conducted efficiency and power consumption comparisons within literature to construct feasible circuit prototypes -
Research AssistantUniversity Of Washington Jun 2014 - Jun 2015Seattle, Wa, UsConstructed a secure passive RFID tag for inventory tracking. We are innovating on current tags by utilizing our own integrated front end to reduce store bought parts, for an all in one solution. Integrated front end can also be used to integrate sensors onto the RFID tags similar to WISP (Wireless Identification and Sensing Platform) technology. Constructed an all passive DC to DC boost converter with input of -20dBm and ~100mV Cost effective approach to harvest RF energy in the Wi-Fi frequency bandPossible Implementation in offices to power up sensors and could be extended to other devices like phones -
Laboratory AssistantUniversity Of Washington Nov 2013 - Mar 2014Seattle, Wa, UsRedesigned the lab material for an EE Linear Systems Control Theory class (Professional Masters Program). Focused on parameter extraction from a micro controller (Arduino), to create a balancing robot through motor control and sonar.Assisted in structuring the hardware material to complement theory materialInstructed the class on Matlab/Simulink environment
