On this position, I plan, schedule, and manage life cycle for electrical jobs for Facilities, overseeing electrical workload through Maximo and ensuring data accuracy for key performance indicators. I have developed and improved many skills on project management, reporting, communication, and overall knowledge of the shipbuilding industry.

During my time as an Intern, I was able to put into practice the knowledge and skills I learned while earning my Electric Power & Distribution degree. As an Intern, I was expected to maintain, operate, and stock a digger/derrick truck. I was able to work with both maintenance and construction crews, which allowed me to learn a variety of tasks and become proficient at my role.

Duties and Responsibilities:Locate, identify, render safe, and dispose of foreign and domestic conventional, chemical, or nuclear ordnance and improvised explosive devices (IED's). Develop new render safe and disposal procedures where none exist or modify existing procedures to adapt to new situations. Perform radiological monitoring; read and interpret x-rays, diagrams, drawings and other technical information on explosive ordnance and IED's. Detect the presence of and identify chemical agents; supervise and assist in operating an Emergency Contamination Control Station and Emergency Personnel Decontamination Station. Assist in preparing technical intelligence and incident reports. Advise military and civilian agencies on disposition of hazardous unexploded ordnance and searching techniques for IEDs. Support VIP missions for the U.S. Secret Service, State Department, and other Federal agencies; maintain liaison with supported units and civil and federal law enforcement agencies. Conduct formal instruction to military and civilian personnel. Supervise transportation and storage of explosives and unexploded ordnance. Maintain accountability of over $250,000 worth of EOD equipment, tools and vehicles.

The Arms Room NCOIC is responsible for the accountability, maintenance and storage of the units weapons and associated sensitive items. Signed for over $500,000 worth of unit equipment and weapon systems. Ensures that daily operations are conducted and inspects the Arms Room protocols to ensure that all regulations and procedures are followed.

Installed, maintained and supported audio visual equipment throughout the University of Maine campus. Other duties include inventory management, paperwork processing and equipment scheduling.

Summer worker, supported daily operations, operated heavy equipment, checked for normal operation of mechanical equipment and supported vacation schedule of year round employees.

Summer worker, aided the Environmental Department with inspecting and assuring EPA regulations were met. Collected water samples from a wide variety of locations surrounding the facility to fulfill a state funded project to identify potential contaminant sources. Participated in site surveys of various mill funded locations to ensure public satisfaction and usage. Supported vacation schedule of year round employees.
