I'm very thrilled to have called Purdue my home for the past few years, it has taught me so much more about engineering that I ever could have imagined and has equipped me with the tools needed to succeed in two summer internships at Detroit Diesel. In these positions I have been able to apply my engineering knowledge to the tasks at hand which has allowed me to further develop competency in my field. Purdue has also supplied me with ample opportunities to grow as person; one of these was taking this Spring 2018 semester abroad in Shanghai, China. This incredible adventure gave me first hand experience working with different cultures as I was able to work directly with Shanghai Jiao Tong University's Formula SAE team. I learned a great deal from this collaboration with the Chinese team which has prepared me well for my new position as Suspension Team Lead for Purdue's Formula SAE team.
