• During my fourth year, I supported the heads of department in building SUFST's first completed accumulator, which passed scrutineering at FSUK and powered the car to run on track.
• FEA and documentation to prove battery container (TSAC) complied with structural rules. Wrote a guide on the process for future years
• Assisted with testing and insulating the battery segments
• Insulated the container - developed and documented a process for cutting and bonding in sheet insulation to fully cover internal faces of the container, despite welding distortions
• Assembled the DC power connector - developed and documented a process for crimping cable terminals with the hexagonal dies available, rather than proprietary tooling costing thousands of poundsI advised the team.
