Nisbets Australia belongs to the Nisbets Group, Europe’s largest catering equipment supplier. It is a multi-channel retailer of catering equipment. I had responsibility for management of the accounting team. I reported to and worked closely with the finance manager and controller. One of my biggest achievements was hiring and developing the assistant accountant who has gone on to larger and greater roles. I helped oversee the absorption of New Zealand’s finance function into Australia and, due to the takeover, my role took on New Zealand’s tax and reporting obligations (NRWT, GST,FBT,PAYG).Within the company, I also undertook a number of business cases where I reviewed the entities accounting methodology and its alignment with the standards. I progressed from being part of an audit team to leading an audit team.
