My role was split into two key areas: website management and email marketing. In 2019, I worked as part of a small team to develop and release a subsite for the restaurant launch of ‘Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay’ (https://www.gordonramsayrestaurants.com/lucky-cat). I was involved in developer meetings with internal and external stakeholders to launch the site and led training sessions with restaurant staff to ensure proper usage of the site’s features internally. I also created a tone of voice document, which was used to build out site landing pages and execute an ongoing content strategy. Daily website management included running the CMS, creating new landing pages, and improving existing pages with SEO and user experience in mind. I devised a multichannel content strategy to populate the website and I regularly wrote content by interviewing chefs and other industry professionals, documenting events such as Gordon’s ‘Uncharted’ series, and improving recipe content. For email, I wrote an annual email strategy for each restaurant, focused on our campaigns and key dates, as well as creating separate nurture emails. I helped to develop email templates when transitioning to a new platform, and built and sent all emails to our data lists. I increased email open and conversion rates by testing subject lines and body content, alongside strategic segmentation and data list management.
