AI4All is a non-profit working to increase diversity and inclusion in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). Simon Fraser University is one of five universities participating in AI4All’s official roll out in 2018, and the only one in Canada. SFU’s initiative, Invent the Future, is a two-week program for Grade 11 girls. This program will bring together.

I have developed a model of the molecular motor ATP synthase and write my own simulations in Python using Fokker-Planck dynamics. ATP synthase in a nanoscale rotary machine responsible for creating the fuel for all living cells and is believed to be a nearly 100% efficient. This work was under the supervision of Dr. Kari Dalnoki-Veress and investigated the gait modulation of the small nematode C. elegans in increasingly viscous media. My experiments utilized micropipette deflection to characterize the swimming of individual worms.
