I am currently a full-time undergraduate student seeking a degree in psychology, and I also work part-time as a bartender. My specialty areas as a bartender include providing professional customer service to patrons, representing the face of my company with a familiar and long held presence, and continually maintaining a problem-solution attitude as a senior adviser to new employees. As a student, I am interested in substance abuse related topics, and to further my knowledge in the field of psychology, I have been working eighteen hours per week in two research labs. I have devoted much of my spring semester to gaining valuable experience within these labs. I am currently a clinical assistant at the Harris Psychological Center where I am gaining clinical experience. Starting in the fall of 2012, I will begin working on a senior honors thesis with Dr. Richard Smith.
