Create a new template for clients with multiple investment vehicles, such as private equity, real estate, and credit. These templates will streamline client's future quarterly reports by automating some of the charts and tables in the report.Compose new one pagers to summarize a fund's investments and history so that clients can quickly and fully understand their private equity portfolios.Write bi-weekly news reports for one of HL's largest clients. These reports include updates on the client's investments and fund managers as well as new acquisitions and sales. Collaborate with four other interns to write and present a portfolio update on two clients. This project was to showcase what each team member learned throughout the internship.Amend one of HL's largest client's investment data on more than 400 funds to more accurately predict investment trends as they react to economic shocks as well as provide information for fee analyses.Upload clients' portfolios into Cobalt for HL analysts to predict how the portfolio would react to various macroeconomic factors. Collected data on the food and beverage manufacturing industry in comparison to the manufacturing sector as a whole to supplement CED's report called Economic Contributions of the Food and Beverage Industry (see link). Created Excel charts published in the report and wrote a press release and social media posts to promote the report and other CED research.Researched U.S./European reemployment programs to incorporate findings into a CED policy brief on the relationship between trade and employment.Supported senior staff members in the Paystub Education Project, which will design a website to educate the public about the relationship between taxpayer money and federal budgeting. Analyzed Congressional Budget Office’s FY16 budget documents to generate graphs to easily explain how the government spends tax money. Populate the website with detailed information about federal outlays for FY 2016. Work with designers to create educational content for the site.

Connected American University campus organizations with American AEI scholars to hold political events, such as a debate watch party, in support of AEI’s mission to publicize various policy issues its scholars research, such as free enterprise.Expanded AEI’s Student Network to enable an estimated 120 college students to connect with each other to create a dialogue about the AEI values of free enterprise and American Leadership.
