Bookster is Netflix for books. We've reinvented the idea of a traditional public library, shaping it into an intuitive and convenient learning platform. Based on a monthly subscription, Bookster provides access to the world's most popular books, delivered straight to your office or workspace. The Bookster library includes more than 100.000 books, articles, case studies and video materials curated by industry experts and a large community of readers. We've built a recommendation algorithm that matches popular titles and articles with users' profiles, needs and preferences, offering personalized reading recommendations. We encourage our users to read more by facilitating social interactions within the platform and adding an element of gamification to the whole reading experience. We grew the business to more than 100k active subscribers, we’ve delivered more than 4 million books, and have signed up 1.000 partner companies. As co-founder, my responsibilities included: • Creating and executing a business plan, managing the P&L, designing a route-to-market model and building internal processes; • Team management and HR – finding, recruiting, managing and empowering the team; • Sales – coordinating the sales team, setting targets, meeting and negotiating with key customers; • Marketing – building and supervising marketing campaigns; • Customer service and user retention – analyzing user behavior and developing targeted strategies to increase user engagement; • Product development - together with the IT team, coordinating web development, both front-end and back-end (ATS, CRM)Read’n’Roll! :)

Novel Ventures was a Romanian incubator, bringing together driven individuals ready to build the next great start-up. The company offered support during the prototype and initial validation phase. It selected the most viable ideas and supported the founding teams throughout the implementation process. The first two projects launched by the incubator were Teach for Romania and Bookster.
