My team is responsible for optimizing the process for bringing up the GCE Control Plane services in a new Cloud region.Key accomplishments:* Managing 6 direct reports, including performance management, 1:1s, setting expectations and ensuring career growth.* Working to reduce the turnup time of ~50 control plane services by a 10x factor.* Collaborating with multiple other teams across GCE and with SRE counterparts to build common, generalized solutions.* Creating a long-term strategy to ensure that the turnup optimization gains are sustainable and newly added service and features don't cause us to backslide.

Tech lead for the GCE Control Plane Disaster Recovery effort. Led the development of a recovery workflow that would bring control plane operations back into a normal state following disasters that cause large data loss.Key accomplishments:* Led a team of 5 other engineers to develop a workflow engine for automating the disaster recovery process.* Launched recovery pipelines for both regional and global data disasters.* Created a long-term strategy to ensure the disaster recovery process was easily maintained as GCE evolved.* Drove the effort to add high fidelity integration testing for disaster recovery, which was especially important for this project since it was rarely exercised in production.

Worked on the Search Ads 360 Engineering Productivity team, building internal tools and infrastructure to optimize the developer experience for the organization.Key accomplishments:* Designed and implemented a system for provisioning on-demand hermetic replicas of our production stack to be used for integration testing and local development. Used by 26 teams and over 500 developers.* Designed and implemented a developer assistant that aimed to bring existing team-specific tools together within the IDE, making them easier to discover and use. The assistant reached 25 WAU before I left the team.
