Gun Violence Prevention Data Analyst
Current-Data collection, management, and analysis for federally funded Community Violence Intervention(CVI) programs to reduce gun violence in the City of Syracuse.-Policy analysis for successful program implementation of gun violence prevention strategies.-Collaboration with stakeholders, Community Based Organizations, city/county/state lawenforcement, CNY Crime Analysis Center, Syracuse City School District, and credible messengers.-Organize CVI and Syracuse City/Onondaga County Coalition to Prevent Gun Violence.-Quarterly reporting to the U.S. Department of Justice and Syracuse Common Council.-Involvement and collaboration with Data Governance Committee for the City of Syracuse.-Attended 1 week conference hosted by the Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) inAlbany, NY.-Received 10 week training from Harvard Bloomberg Center for Cities.-Received 4 week training from CNY Crime Analysis Center on crime data management andanalytics.-Received training from Dr. Chico Tillmon from University of Chicago Crime Lab on CVI evidencebased practices.
