Facilities Engineer
Greater Seattle Area
▪ Provide leadership with clear direction and accountability for major capital projects▪ Responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of all facility buildings and grounds such as HVAC systems, fire protection systems, roadways, rail tracks, lighting, storm water and runoff systems, plumbing, and compressed air▪ Develop and submit to senior management Capital Expenditure Applications (CAPEX) for various projects▪ Work with central engineering to develop and implement departmental policy and site risk prevention standards▪ Assist central engineering department and provide input on preparing engineering specifications, and bid packages for construction projects▪ Coordinate outside contractors and site operations for various projects: roofing, marine construction, lighting, plumbing, rail road, HVAC, modular structures, paving, and light steel structures▪ Resolve field interaction or conflicts with plant operations to avoid project delays and business disruption▪ Perform design review, review plans and specifications, and provide suggestions and recommendations ▪ Liaise with architectural and engineering firms to develop effective design criteria and technical specifications▪ Prepare reports and briefings on work status, progress, changes, and items related to scope, schedule, and budget▪ Schedule and coordinate project meetings with contractors and plant key personnel, distribute meeting minutes, and follow-up on action items▪ Communicate and work closely with maintenance, production, and shipping departments when implementing new projects▪ Ensure all contractors are in good standing to work on site and maintain an annual safety orientation program▪ Responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating site BCP (Business Continuity Plan)▪ Responsible for implementing and updating World Class Manufacturing Site Risk Prevention Pillar
