Over the last two years, I have been creating educational films and documentaries for projects within a Global Research Translation Award. Within this role, I acted as the producer, editor, and animator. This involved taking projects from storyboards through to final edits within Premiere Pro and After Effects, incorporating illustrations into my animations, and using a variety of different motion styles. Some of these styles include character animation, frame by frame, 2D and 2.5D animation, and I am currently learning 3D design and animation.I have been working as part of a tight-knit two-person team, often collaborating with multiple departments at once. During my time in this position, I was given the opportunity to travel to India for a month for filming, where I handled all technical aspects of the filmmaking process. During my time there I was co-running the pre-production, production, and post-production process of each film, often juggling multiple projects at once. When the pandemic limited our ability to film, I made the decision to apply my animation and motion design skills as an alternative method of producing content. I began regularly using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Animate in collaboration with After Effects. This resulted in an unexpected format for many of our films, but this incorporation of motion graphics and animation allowed us to go from strength to strength. As a result, three of our films that feature live footage crossed with animation, have now been officially selected for showcase at the Science Film Festival. I worked as a producer on Unthank Productions (UEA Filmmaking Society) second short film, White Reverie. I oversaw the film from start to finish, using my skills and experience to help my team create the best film possible.

During my time at Unio Pizza I have worked with a large and ever-changing team. Being a TL has benefited my customer service skills more than just being catering staff as I’ve learned to deal with hard situations like complaints alongside learning better how to lead our team.
