Working with team members from across Australia and Vietnam to build scalable, robust backend microservices using NodeJS with Typescript and PHP. These services might provide REST or gRPC endpoints, and/or produce and consume events via ServiceBus, RabbitMQ or EventHub. They may also integrate with other microservices, and/or connect up with Elasticsearch, CosmosDB, MongoDB, or MySQL. As part of this role I also provide guidance, mentoring, support, and code reviews to colleagues at all levels.

Working in a small team to maintain and enhance the integration solution used by MM Electrical's customers. Integrations include third party platforms: Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks, ReckonOne and SAP Ariba. Technologies used include Laravel, NodeJS, and Docker in AWS using Bitbucket Pipelines for CI/CD.

Looking after the development team of the Australian Netfira office to maintain and enhance the integration supplier and buyer platforms. AWS, Laravel, Jira, Bitbucket, Rancher and more were used for these systems. Specific projects involved in include planning, implementing and performing end to end migrations between AWS organisations, retirement of legacy applications, OAuth 1->2 migration, security enhancements, etc.

Migrated team from TFS to Jira, introduced CI/CD pipelines with bitbucket and modern development processes such as peer review, pair programming, gitflow, etc. I also introduced the team to Laravel and NodeJS, and was the architect of a document portal, public document REST API and a document queue worker system.

As a developer at TrafficGuard (formally Tech Mpire), I worked on enhancing the Laravel & NodeJS based advertising platform used by advertisers and partners. Specifically, some of the work I've been involved in includes, integrating with the Xero accounting platform, implementing an advanced targeting filter in the tracking platform, setting up an API in Laravel with OAuth2, and integrating with various AWS services such as S3/Cloudfront, Kinesis and Lambda. Part of this role also includes reviewing work by colleagues, contributing to task refinement specifications, demo'ing features to colleagues, and performing software releases.

in 2016, I was the lead developer of the MyWeedWatcher web application written in Angular and integrated with Drupal and DAFWA's Oracle backend via RESTful services. See project details for more info.In 2015, I was the lead developer of a new version of the Western Australian Organism List (Drupal) to improve usability and flexibility of search queries. I also built the first prototype of the Quarantine Import requirements application which was written in Angular and integrated with Drupal.In 2013-14, I was the co-lead developer of the DAFWA Gateway and Agweb Intranet: two large scale Drupal 7.x web sites. Senior Drupal developer for the majority of Itomic's Perth based Drupal clients. This included The Monthly Magazine, Continuing Professional Development CRM for APodC, CRM for ACCSports Association, Feral Camels Project and an intranet for Imdex Limited. In the early days of this role, I also helped trigger the adoption of Drupal as the main solution offering for new prospects. Clients included Clarity Communications and Schwartz Publishing.Also worked on a number of pet projects including an online computer games network (website developer and server administrator) which reached several hundred simultaneous players for the ISP EFTel and a stock notification system using data from ASX.com.au.
