    • Performed real-time monitoring and steering of 12 wells with 100% success. • Utilized seismic, regional data and petrophysical logs to predict and guide wellbore behavior.• Ensured clear communication between all functions (asset teams, drilling and completion engineers, rig personnel, and vendors) while drilling. • Composed and distributed daily, final steering interpretations and well summary documents for After-Action Reviews to discuss learnings and problems encountered to identify solutions for future wells.• Constructed an excel database of vendor performance by evaluating all currently and previously COP-operated wells on M/LWD tool efficiency and GR data quality in order to assist in vendor selection for all future COP-operated wells.• Relevant training: Petrophysical Characterization for Unconventional Reservoirs, Pore Pressure Prediction and Wellbore Stability for Operations Geologists, Drilling Fluids and Mud Systems (MI Swaco), Mud Motors and MWD tools (GyroData), Field Leadership Safety and H2S Training.
  • Samson Resources
    Geologist
    Samson Resources Aug 2013 - Sep 2014
    Tulsa, Oklahoma
    • Conducted a study in the East Texas basin using petrophysical, mud log, FMI and seismic datasets to evaluate secondary shallow targets for recompletions in nonproductive wells. This program identified multiple recompletion candidates and increased the asset's daily production by 15%. • Petroleum systems modeling, geochemical analyses and mapping, core description, well log correlation, regional mapping, and play fairway mapping in Petra and Zetaware’s Genesis and Trinity software packages in the Powder River Basin.• Calculated and mapped petrophysical properties including porosity, permeability, estimated oil in place, and recoverable reserves to plan a horizontal well program in the Granite Wash play.
  • University Of Houston
    Graduate Research Assistant
University Of Houston Jan 2012 - Aug 2013
    Houston, Texas Area
My research was focused in the Bahamas as a part of the Caribbean Basins, Tectonics, and Hydrocarbons (CBTH) consortium entitled: Study of Passive Margins of the Southeastern USA and Bahamas using Potential Fields Methods to Determine its Underlying Crustal Type, Structure, and Petroleum Potential. Gravity and magnetic surveys were utilized to map crustal boundaries and structures in order to identify potential hydrocarbon accumulations. PaleoGIS was used to locate the origin of basement features and burial history and hydrocarbon generation potential were then modeled in PetroMod which revealed a very cool, poor generation potential basin.
  • Statoil
    Geology Intern Dpna
    Statoil May 2012 - Dec 2012
    Houston, Texas Area
    • Tied 2D well log interpretations to a 3D seismic volume for enhanced regional correlation of reservoir units.• Created a geologic layer-based geomodel of a 3D seismic survey in two-way travel time to use as an input into a velocity model in order to create depth-converted seismic.• Created and manipulated subsurface models, surface grids, GIS layers, and well lists.• Created and developed data flows and workflows while testing Halliburton’s DecisionSpace Desktop’s well and seismic interpretation, velocity modeling, well planning and geosteering modules as options for the company as they faced operatorship.
