Dissertation researches the founding of the U.S. New Right in the 1970s, and its growth and increasing power through the mid-1990s at the national and state levels. Research for Joshua Phillips for his upcoming (now out) book None of Us Were Like This Before, which investigated the occurrence of and motivation for torture by American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. Conducted online research, used LexisNexis, and interviewed think tanks and human rights NGOs in order to uncover and catalogue instances of torture in Iraq and Afghanistan, among other tasks.

Summer intern, then temporary fact-checker. Wrote for print and web (online article on the student sex column movement); conducted research for staff, particularly on gender, sex, and sexuality; assisted with "Nation Associates" program.
