NaCl submerged tephra was reheated at varying temperatures and timescales to simulate the "recycling" process observed at NW-Rota 1 volcano. The heated tephra was analyzed with an SEM/BSE with EDS and characterized based on the micro-crystallization. This research was presented at Research Experiences for Summer Scholars (RESS) 2017 and at the National GSA Conference (2017).
