Alex Dube is a qualified civil engineer registered with the engineering council of South Africa and has had a passion for property and investments from the time he graduated from university.I entered the real estate industry in 1995 by initially acquiring downtown residential properties in Pietermaritzburg (a medium size town in South Africa), where I added value to these newly acquired assets by renovating and subdividing them. As my residential property portfolio grew I started investing in commercial real estate. Today I have grown my portfolio to millions of dollars worth and has since diversified geographically and in my tenant base. My experience in property has been truly hands-on because I personally built my portfolio from nothing. Over a period of more than 15 years my achievements have been remarkable and I have acquired the skill and insight to find and create value from real estate. The push to write my book came from both strangers and friends asking how I had grown my wealth and achieved so much from very little.
