Objective: To build and run the Architecture Management Office (AMO), covering Enterprise Architecture, requirements management and solution design for both existing services and the transformation delivery programme.* I led the formation of AMO covering enterprise architecture, along with the development of architecture management procedures, policies and processes, EA tooling/EA repository and HLD/LLD design artefacts.* I developed the enterprise architecture, application and technology reference models for application modernisation and Cloud migration of the DBS application estate, including migration to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and MoD Azure.* I oversaw the migration of Oracle ERP to Oracle OCI, along with the implementation of a new SOC function and associated SIEM tools, IT service management tools, OCI and Azure Cloud platforms.* I was Lead Architect for the Digital Integration Platform, providing application integration and API management capabilities, based on Oracle Integration Cloud and Software AG webMethods.Results:* The AMO successfully launched, establishing a mature and functioning design capability, ahead of the major transformation programme work. This unlocked key contract payment milestones and enabled design delivery and associated review/approval. * MOD approval of Oracle OCI platform, security tooling, digital Integration platform and application transformation roadmaps, HLDs and LLDs.

Objective: To successfully bid for a contract to take over IT operations and transform the MOD systems managing core HR management systems, payroll and pensions administration services for 1.2 military personal and pensioners, migrating them to the Oracle Government Cloud, introducing digital access via new portals, and while still sustaining the existing platforms and technology. * I developed the bid’s technical strategy and produced the bid response documents for all technical, architecture and service design annexes, along with eleven transformation annexes that fully addressed the customer’s transformation strategy, security requirements and confidence characteristics. * I led the technical and commercial negotiations with Cap Gemini, Oracle, developing work breakdown structures, statements of works, dependencies and costs.* I developed cost models for Oracle OCI hosting and infrastructure, based on capacity planning for the required compute, storage and network services.* I estimated existing on-going maintenance costs for hardware and software service contracts novating to SSCL.* I developed an organisation design and FTE cost model for the Architecture Management Office and IT Service Management functions.* I worked with the programme delivery team to develop implementation and milestone plans for the delivery of new infrastructure and application services and application migration planning.Results: * We delivered a winning bid response with the best value and thus the highest bid evaluation scores. This resulted in a contract award for SSCL.

Reporting to the Openreach CIO and the Director of Operational Integrity (OI), I provide a single point of contact for the portfolio of IT products services delivered to Openreach by OI. OI represents the BT group IT production function, with responsibility for data centres, networks, server operations, client services and end-user technology.
