I worked as writer for a contract project to develop The Invictus Games Sydney 2018 Official Photography Book. The Invictus Games was founded in 2014 by HRH Prince Harry as a way to help war veterans, through the positive impact of sport, recover from the mental and physical wounds they suffered during their service. Competitors from 18 nations competed at The Sydney Games with 105,000 spectators watching from the stands. To tell these inspirational stories I was a member of a team made up of a book designer, photographer, editors, and writers–I saw collaboration at its finest.The Invictus Games Sydney 2018 Official Photography Book was a mammoth effort: coordinating expectations between our team, receiving feedback from the Sydney Office, and sending the book to print only six weeks after the event.

Focusing on editorial work and content creation, I was responsible for proofreading manuscripts, copyediting, social media campaign strategies, writing book reviews, competitor analysis reports, and blog posts. I would also contribute my ideas at weekly meetings when we would collaborate with other designers, photographers, and writers.
