For the Year 2000, I took a sabbatical from my career in hospital human resources management to write. After an enjoyable and prolific two years, I decided to devote my creative energy to writing on a permanent basis and resigned from my administrative position.I am the author of many novels, plays and musical-books, short stories, children's stories, poems, lyrics, songs, and albums. My most recent novel, The Comeback, was published on February 4th, 2020 by James Lorimer & Company Publishers in its Sports Stories series for middle-school readers. A year before that Lorimer also published The Playmaker.Co-writing with Willie McCulloch of Bridgewater, Connecticut, I have had eight songs published by Scot-Tex Music Publishing, and I have excelled in numerous songwriting contests, including winning First Prize in the USA Songwriting Contest, the largest in the world. In addition, Saturday Night on Bourbon Street, the musical for which I wrote the book and Gayle Ackroyd of Guelph, Ontario wrote the music, has received public readings at the St. Lawrence Theatre in Toronto and the Charles W. Stockey Centre in Parry Sound, as well as being workshopped by the City of Brampton Theatres. In 2005, I added a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with High Honours to my Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Industrial Relations degrees. I live with my lovely wife near Parry Sound, Ontario and have two wonderful children who inspire my sports stories. I am currently working on my next book and writing songs.
