As a Produce Customer Service department member I started off by simply filling items that needed to be restocked. Then, I began closing the department by myself at night. Currently, I have mainly been in the produce market where a few of us prepare fresh fruit and vegetables by hand cutting them. We prepare quantities for each item daily and complete the list by the end of our shifts. Throughout a day we will continuously rotate product so that customers are guaranteed freshness. Mainly, working as a produce customer service member I’ve been able to learn the importance of excellent customer service and satisfaction.

As a cashier I provided store shoppers with excellent customer service while also being efficient. At times, I would handle writing checks, making sure my till was even, and even fill papers bags and supplies for all the registers when a manager asked of me. During my time as a cashier I was able to grow tremendously in my communication and efficiency. I also learned how important good customer service is. I decided to move on and go to a different department because I thought it was time to to take my learning elsewhere and encounter new opportunities.
