Ever since I can remember, I have loved writing and storytelling. It comes as no surprise that I chose to major in English/Creative Writing and minor in Communications Studies at Randolph College. I was especially proud that I was chosen to be a designated tutor, based on my excellent performance in several writing-intensive classes, by some of my professors. I enjoyed helping students become better writers through positive encouragement and targeted instruction. My expertise in editing, proofreading, and copyediting has been especially helpful in my role as an editor for student admissions essays. It guided me in my journey of obtaining an MFA from Hollins University, and in my position as a Content Marketing Specialist. Here are a few of my recent accomplishments:• Article was published in The Oyster Pointer • Won the Andrew James Purdy Prize for Short Fiction, 2020 • Had my story, "The Way Dandelions Burn," published on Flash Fiction Magazine • Created a book review blog, called "Takes Two to Book Review," with my sister• Winner of the Margaret I.
