My role in this position was to support research project managers through every step of the international research process. This began by proofreading survey drafts, creating translation coding sheets, confirming that surveys are coded correctly in SurveyToGo, and using Google Earth to determine the viability of survey deployment locations. Once the surveys begin, I performed in-depth quality control checks of raw data through GPS tracking, audio review, and respondent confirmation. After the surveys were completed, I helped project managers synthesize data, formulate data-driven program and policy recommendations, and write and proofread final reports and presentations. I was also selected to work with a small team to curate weekly newsletters on MailChimp to inform our clients of vital regional contexts. These tasks required me to navigate online systems including Microsoft Suite, Google Drive, Slack, Dedoose, Google Earth, MailChimp, and our company’s quality control system with proficiency.
