How do you do? I am a recent, first-generation graduate from the University of California, Davis where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in music composition with a minor in English.I have a background in community outreach, leadership, and music based on my previous roles. Some examples include: curating both small and large-scale programming to promote well-being for community members, interpreting information to increase accessibility for visitors and maintaining excellent communication with coworkers and supervisors in order to achieve weekly goals.I have a passion for the outdoors as well and I am interested in further exploring this through the combination of my skills in music composition, creative writing and environmental awareness to promote community well-being. One of my favorite examples of combining my skillset was when I was able to fuse my love for poetry and nature. With these skills, I had the opportunity to teach visitors (and coworkers) in the arboretum how to reflect on the significance of nature in their everyday life in order to write brief, yet evocative, haiku. Because of this, I am interested in helping bridge the gap between individuals from under-served communities and the natural world. I am currently exploring different career options and I thrive in dynamic workspaces!During my free time, I enjoy reading (and especially writing) a variety of creative forms. This includes poetry, short stories and flash fiction. I am also currently striving towards publishing my first writing pieces in literary magazines. Considering this, I think it's appropriate to end my bio with a haiku, don't you think?spring dusk—i dim the lastcandle
