Idea Craftsman is my personal brand under which I consult as a research innovator aiming to help researchers develop their novel technologies. I connect the dots between ideas and technologies being born in labs which need the right blend of skills and experience to sculpt them into working proofs of concept (and beyond). This may mean building experimental setups, prototyping dozens of generations of devices until one works, or prospecting new ways of using a new technology.I've learned to do this thanks to my backgrounds in engineering research, mechanical prototyping and running a manufacturing business. For any given idea or technology in development I first spend a significant amount of time learning the fundamental science(s) behind it before exploring all the possible avenues that can be taken to employ it. This ultimately comes down to:(1) Wholistic brainstorming, understanding, perspective and critical evaluation of everything from the fundamental science to the manufacturing and business concerns. (2) Provide a quick and nimble resource for prototyping conceptual, mechanical, and chemical systems for experimental setups, scientific instrumentation or novel ideas in general.(3) Facilitate, steer and push the progress of the idea/technology from the early conception stage into and through the research, prototyping, and alpha market stages.In short, I am a multi-faceted engineer that likes to connect the dots between emerging technologies at their beginning phases and reaching market traction. My personal goal is to be involved in various emerging technologies that I find important and beneficial to the world at large.

As a co-founder and hands-on builder of an ambitious e-commerce/manufacturing hybrid, I inevitably had to not only wear many hats (and masks, gloves, knee-pads, fire suits, etc.) but I also had to learn how to speak many jargons and cater to many different individuals and their needs. Those ranged from the deep end of technical engineering and manufacturing to the other deep end of building a company and growing individuals of a team. It also meant I had to learn a tremendous amount of personal, human lessons about myself and other people.My core responsibilities were product development, process engineering and scaling manufacturing, architecting and managing our software development and data as well as managing the team members that worked with me. However I also routinely supported Marketing, Customer Service, Accounting/Finance and Production on a daily basis with software solutions, data/analytics reporting and general critical thinking help. There was no aspect of the company from top to bottom that I did not have to touch to some degree.My nearly decade-long journey is impossible to summarize or even communicate. It was a roller coaster beyond my wildest expectations. But I've walked away ready to take on whatever is next.
