CoxCon was a convention on the UK scene that brought American youtubers over to their European market filling a huge gap in the existing event year. This was a huge event growing year by year with our crowds selling out at 1500 attendees across a weekend long event. As one of the organizers of this event my job consisted of a wide range of responsibilities. CoxCon was organized as a team in which we each had particular areas that fed into the event, I primarily focused on building up relationships with and getting exhibitors and sponsors involved in the event. This responsibility involved generating and taking in the analytics data of each year and presenting this in an accessible and attractive way to generate interest in the event. Example sponsorship deck: http://imgur.com/a/7mlbhAnother responsibility that was shared in the CoxCon team is the management of social media for a combination of event hype and networking and as such I was in part responsible for the CoxCon twitter and Facebook pages.In addition I used my own personal twitter to generate community responses during the event and to build relationships with our exhibitors outside of event time.We also had a subreddit which we use heavily to take influence from consumer feedback. An example use of this was using a thread to compile a mix of positive and negative feedback from one year that we then went over on a twitch stream with those attendees that are interested, before addressing and improving on the feedback that we received.Creating the event has required a detailed understanding of SEO. During the event itself my role was slightly different although it still includes the management and catering to the needs of exhibitors. I took on the additional roles of crisis and guest management and planning.
