CCC Backcountry Trails Program / Americorps service season. Lived and worked in backcountry wilderness settings completing trail work for National Park Service and CA State Parks

A two part executive fellowship developed through interagency partnership between the CCC and CNRA; housed in the Office of the Secretary of the CA Natural Resource Agency.The first stage was supporting Assistant Secretary Of Equity and Environmental Justice Moises Moreno-Rivera in embedding and implementing equity practices within the CNRA’s 40+ Agencies, Departments, Conservancies, and Committees. Included the development of a policy whitepaper on language equity and recommendations to the CNRA Undersecretary Saul Gomez. For the second part of the fellowship, I worked at direction of the Assistant Secretary of Tribal Affairs Geneva E.B. Thompson. Provided legislative analysis and implementation work with the California Advisory Committee on Geographic Names (CACGN) to support implementation of AB-2022. Duties included legislative research and analysis, the development of policies and procedures for implementing a state assembly bill, and presenting for a State Committee audience.
