Contract management & procurement professional with ten years of experience working with commercial and federal contracts and various other agreement types. I am currently AVP, TPA Relationship Mananger at Prosperity Life (Prosperity Service Group). In my role, I am responsible for the negotiation and ongoing management of contractual agreements including MSAs and statements of work with our third party administrator partners. From a more strategic perspective, I am in the process of building out a formalized third party risk management program to ensure all areas of third party risk are effectively managed.Prior to my current role, I was a Lead Third Party Relationship Manager at USAA Federal Savings Bank where I supported the Retail Bank Operations business unit. My primary role wass to support the onboarding, due diligence, contract drafting, and ongoing management of third party service providers for the Retail Bank team to ensure adherence with federal regulations while controlling/mitigating risk for the company. Previously, I was a Sourcing and Procurement Manager at USAA. Although USAA offers a wide array of financial and insurance services, I work specifically within Global Sourcing and Procurement for the Bank to ensure risk is mitigated and third party relationships are compliant with applicable laws and regulations while also negotiating cost and terms and conditions on a variety of new and ongoing service agreements. I completed my Master of Legal Studies Degree in 2020 with a concentration in Compliance and Legal Risk Management from the University of Arizona’s College of Law, and obtained my MBA from Texas A&M - San Antonio in 2022. I also have my Certified Regulatory Vendor Program Manager II certification through Compliance Education Institute. Upon leaving the military, I worked as a Contracts Specialist with Collins Aerospace, a part of United Technologies Corporation. In this time, I worked on agreements with the United States Department of Defense’s prime contractors (for projects such as F-35, F-15, and C-130) supplying military aircraft landing gear systems through production and sustainment phases.While working as a Contracting Officer for the United States Air Force, I completed my bachelor’s degree in business with a focus in quality management as well as my DAWIA Level I Contracting Certification. Through my experience, both professionally and academically, I have gained a diverse insight into federal acquisition regulations; contract formation, administration, and negotiation; and project management.
