Assisting Virtual Reality Rehab, Inc. with usability testing, experimental research, and instructional design efforts across three Navy- and Army-funded SBIR/STTRs. Company: Advanced Anti-Terror Technologies (A2T2) specializes in military contracts and attempts to create or expand on current technology to assist Warfighters, veterans, and citizens. I am assisting project leads and other graduate students on a number of tasks. We have conduced task analyses for multiple robot control and developed virtual environment training scenarios. We are collecting and analyzing physiological measures (e.g., EEG, eye tracking, and heart rate), performance measures (button press, situation awareness, workload) and subjective opinion measures from student, ROTC, and military personnel to assess workload and to improve human operator safety, training, and satisfaction. We also with the software development team to troubleshoot programming issues while developing data logging software, and creating training materials and promotional materials.

These projects included: a functional job analysis of special warfare crewman on high speed craft; systems display and anthropometric guidance documentation for high speed craft; ship modeling and simulation integration guidance documentation; Human-Systems Integration guidance documentation for unmanned systems; and shock mitigating seat comparative testing survey development.
