I created AI LingoPlay, a fully featured, AI-powered web app designed to help language learners practice their skills through realistic role-play scenarios with life-like AI characters.Despite having limited development skills, I harnessed the power of AI through prompt engineering to design and fully develop this feature-rich language tool.Currently available for free, my goal is to evolve AI LingoPlay into a subscription-based app with comprehensive user account support. At IBC 2023, Easel TV showcased itself as the first end-to-end video streaming service powered by AI.• Company Vision: Introduced the ‘single button press’ ethos, aiming to enable clients to launch and manage their service with a single press. This vision informs every design and development decision.• Curzon Home Cinema: Designed Curzon’s dual-screen (web and TV) movie streaming service and managed the project to meet a tight deadline.• Spotify on Virgin Media TiVo: Designed and project managed the first launch of Spotify on a TV platform, working with Virgin Media, Spotify, and Easel TV teams. The successful launch led to a green-lit second phase.

As a central member of the NovaRising team for 10 years, I played a pivotal role in making digital TV design a key component of NovaRising’s output, including PoC designs and real world deliveries of STB based interactive TV services.KEY PROJECTS:• Virgin Media: Led the delivery of their web-based EPG and VoD service to complement Virgin Media’s in-house TV platform development.• Deutsche Telekom: Developed conceptual designs of what the future of interactive TV might look like. Wrote and directed a showcase video that featuring the UI designs, exploring how an average family would use such a service.• IBM: Designed proof-of-concepts for a hybrid platform combining VoD and linear TV. IBM used these designs to build an interactive prototype demonstrated at IBC.

Became the first employee of Cega, a two-person company operating from an East London living room. I became fully involved with all aspects of design, development and project management and was a key factor in the company’s success and expansion to a work force of over 15 before merging in late 1998 with Finish IT company RTS Networks.

Started a video production venture primarily focused on promotional videos for small to medium businesses. Coordinating directly with clients, I wrote, story-boarded, shot and edited videos using semi-pro Hi8 and S-VHS equipment. Projects ranged from editing existing footage for The Body Shop to full contracted productions abroad in Germany and Greece.
