As a franchise industry business leader with 20+ years of franchise system development experience in Canada, my experience, passion, and skill set is in large part focused on the development of core infrastructure needed to franchise a successful traditional business model and to grow the business through franchising. My skill set is derived from having played a key role in the founding and development of a Canadian franchised service chain that we expanded from concept to over 250+ locations in under 10 years reaching system-wide revenues in excess of $100 million. My actions are generally perceived as having pioneered an industry; developed a recognized brand amongst Canadians; and firmly entrenched the company as a dominant player in the Canadian market. As part of the development, I also had full oversight over 13 business locations / operating units throughout Ontario. I have since played a hands‐on role both directing and creating core systems and business processes for franchise systems in various industries ranging from services to restaurants through my work with Franchise Starters Group (FSG). My skill set is diverse, and broadly spans most business functions needed to develop, grow, and maintain a franchise system across a variety of industries. This is derived in part by having been a founder who played numerous diverse roles on a day-to-day basis simply to fulfill then-current business needs. Understandably, few small businesses start out surrounded by department heads; leading to a unique skill set imparted on founders. My background also extends into IT; a resource that has enabled the development and/or evaluation of numerous systems ranging from servers and network architecture to POS systems, inventory management, financial reporting systems, and search engine optimized e-commerce websites.I am currently a poor (but improving) photographer/videographer for my children's soccer teams.
