Elections Technician Iii
Current-Program ballots to ensure accuracy of election information. Also worked with Center for Civic Design to overhaul ballot design for easier ballot navigation for voters.-Identify and coordinate 64 Election Day polling places to ensure voters and Precinct Election Officials have the space and resources they need.-Oversee public voting equipment testing, including creating testing documentation and training staff on ballot marking, so our voting equipment is accurate and trustworthy.-Conducted annual preventative maintenance and performed any needed repairs on over 140 pieces of voting equipment.-Coordinate with the Information Technology department to get up to 450 laptops, printers, and scanners updated, tested, and ready with our Precinct Atlas software to be used for all early and Election Day voting.-Serve on Iowa Precinct Atlas Consortium Futures Committee, identifying needed changes in the Precinct Atlas epollbook system, testing changes for compliance with Iowa law and ease of understanding for PEOs and voters, and suggesting program upgrades for an epollbook system used statewide.-Export voter check-in data after elections to give vote credit to all voters, ensuring our vote credit in the statewide voter database matches Election Night Reporting numbers.-Manage communications presence, including creating "Johnson County Votes!" brand identity, creating and checking social media content, and writing additional communication materials as needed.-Train our over 400 PEOs on the Precinct Atlas epollbook system.-Perform basic voter registration and absentee ballot processing.-Serve as Administrator for the Community ID program.-Serve as primary backup for the Johnson County Auditor's Office Minutes Department, running the live video software and taking minutes as needed.
