The purpose of this role is to complete complex assessments and provide executive support to the Migration Specialist.• Carry out assessments of overseas applications• Ensure qualifications cover the competency areas required for migration• Assess skilled employment in accordance with Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP)• Creation and recording of new precedents for future reference• Regularly review assessment procedures and identify improvements; monitor changes to government policy and migration trends and how they may affect assessment procedures• Follow up assessment related issues and participate in promotional activities as required• Create and deliver presentations to migration agents and international students • Provide executive support to the Migration Specialist and act as a point of contact for Migration Coordinators on a range of complex migration matters as required

The purpose of this role was to assess Australian academic qualifications for the purpose of migration to Australia and also the Chartered Accountants Program.My role as a Migration Assessment Co-ordinator was as follows:• Log all applications and correspondence on to the database• Update the database as required during the processing of each application• Respond to telephone and email enquiries within agreed service levels• Take payment of all applications and complete the banking requirements daily• Assess qualifications using NOOSR Country Education Profile (CEP) to ensure the qualifications are comparable to the educational level of an Australian bachelor degree• Check documents of all applications received for the assessment of qualifications and follow up with applicants if documents are missing• Ensure applications are placed appropriately for assessments• Complete the assessment of applications involving accredited Australian degrees including temporary 485 visa and members approved or recognised overseas bodies (GAA)• Produce assessment letters and record assessment results in CRM• Regularly review assessment procedures and identify improvements; monitor changes to government policy and migration trends and how they may affect assessment procedures; follow up assessment related issues and participate in promotional activities as required• Complete quarterly follow up review of 'Awaiting documents' for skills assessment files• Answer enquiries sent to the Migration inbox• Complete monthly report of suspected fraudulent applications and send to DIBP• Complete quarterly review and closure of Temporary 485 visa assessment application files• Responsible for the archiving and retrieving of files to/from storage• Provide back up and support to Migration Specialist as needed
