I have always been passionate about supporting individuals throughout their most challenging times in their life. Within my 2+ years of experience in the Social Work career field, I have gained a deeper commitment to ensuring that clients' needs are being met through accessing resources and support. As I further my career as a future Social Worker, my plan is to continue to advocate for those who feel unheard or misunderstood and to create a positive change within their lives. My future goals also entail being a therapist for young adults and to focus on mental health advocacy. As a young adult, the personal experiences I have are related to finding myself and exploring who I am, what my beliefs are as well as my values has caused me to have mixed emotions of both excitement and overwhelming. Due to this, I would like to work with this population to help support them to access resources needed to thrive in their young adulthood in preparations of moving towards adulthood and independence. I am committed to continuous professional development that will help me gain the skills and knowledge to better serve clients in the communities.
