I managed the public sector funding budget for the London Olympics. Key achievements included:-Securing a sustainable public-private funding package for the construction of the Olympics Village, working closely with private lenders;-Driving out over £300m savings across the Olympic Delivery Authority’s programme to ensure the public sector funding package was protected, negotiating at senior level across central Government and the Greater London Authority;- Delivering significant improvements in the consistency of construction schedule reporting.

-Shaped, negotiated and delivered substantial reforms to the local government performance framework through the 2007 Comprehensive Spending Review, including significant reductions in the burden of performance information and targets on local authorities;-Re-focussed the implementation of the review of Government Offices to deliver the transformational change required to sustain the GO’s new strategic role.
